How quickly is this year going? I can't believe it is the end of May already, it seems like New Years was just yesterday. I have been sorting out all my stuff for the impending move. I actually cannot believe how much rubbish i've kept. I could literally fill up a skip of clothes I no longer wear or want. Cannot wait to have it all done and dusted!

For years now, I have been on the search for the perfect jumper after seeing thousands of bloggers and girls on the street wearing fab ones. It has to look some what fitted, but still be slightly baggy and also hang correctly at the bottom and not bunch up. This past week I decided to go on the hunt again, and luckily for me, i found such a jumper chilling in Next. Its absolutely perfect and in the most amazing pastel shade, which is amazing for the summer night - that I hope are here to stay.

Next A/W 2012 Press Day

Best of British Fashion

With the Queen's jubilee just around the corner, this summer is the perfect time to celebrate being British. We've got an extra bank holiday to mark the occasion and the weather is sunny (fingers crossed it holds out!), so there'll typically British activities going on all throughout the country in the next few weeks.

If you want to get really patriotic, I've put together three looks that showcase how you can make the most of all our fantastic, home-gown fashion designers, whatever you've got planned this Jubilee weekend. national anthem singing is entirely optional.

Bunting, picnic tables and buffet food - is there a more British way to celebrate than a good, old-fashioned garden or street party? Teaming a casual Alexander McQueen skater dress in this season's hottest colour - coral - with sharp tailoring in the form of this Stella McCartney blazer will keep you weather appropriate no matter what the British summertime decides to throw at us (just add some black tights if it's chilly!). Finish the look with matching sunglasses and contrasting wedges - so your heels don't sink into your neighbour's immaculate lawn - and add edge with this leopard print bag by Mulberry.

The Queen is heading to Epsom Derby on June 2nd, and if you're lucky enough to be going too - or if you're going to any racing event over the summer - this Matthew Williamson number is just what you need. The neon print is sophisticated but cool, and teaming it with quirky shoes and a neutral bag and jewellery will ensure you stand out from the rest of the crowd at the racetrack - don't forget the obligatory hat!

So it might not be a typical British activity, but I defy anyone to think about the Queen's jubilee without thinking about the Sex Pistol's anthem "God Save The Queen" and the punk movement of the 70's. If you'd like to channel your inner Siouxsie Sioux over the bank holiday weekend, there's no better way to do it that in lots of Vivienne Westwood! I've opted for an unusual leather jacket and twisted hem trousers, and added an oversized animal print tee-shirt. Layer up the jewellery - the more skulls the better - and add some studded pumps (all over the high - street this season but staying true to the British theme I've opted for McQueen). Finally this Lizard print Mulberry bag finishes the look off perfectly.

This weekend will be spent at home, packing up my things and sorting through the junk. I am also having a late birthday dinner with the family and I can't wait. My Dad (who never cooks), will be making my favourite meal - pork n port n stilton sauce. It is the most amazing dinner I have ever had - also the first and probably only meal I have learnt how to cook.

Out to Lunch

I'm notorious for waking up super late with ten minutes to go until I need to leave the house. So quick and easy outfits are a must. My floordrobe usually holds my most worn items, so skinnies and a tee are almost an everyday staple. In the hope that my outfits look somewhat put together, I like to add some cute heels. My new Zara heels (seen here) are seriously the most comfiest shoes in the world. I could wear them on the treadmill, they are that comfy.

Aztec Maxi

One of my favourite things about dressing for Summer (If it ever reaches the UK) is the influx of maxi dresses in the shops. A maxi is seriously the easiest get up and go item - if you ever see me in the mornings, I need all the get up and go assistance possible. This Aztec Maxi dress is perfect for dressing up or down, teamed with a leather jacket or a little black cardi. Thanks for the dress Vicki - I love it.

Shoe Dreams

After writing about using shoes as decoration, I decided to go on the hunt for some pretty sparkly shoes to use for said decoration. I have pretty much fallen in love with these beauties from Frida. The heels are amazing, I love the shape and the cut, lets not forget the sparkles at the front.

Twenty Seven

Today is my birthday, and despite the looming old age, soon to be hitting 30, I couldn't be happier. I have the perfect family and friends and I can't wait to celebrate my impending old age.

I will be spending the day with my best friend and her 4 week old baby girl - Libtini (obviously not her real name, but a nickname I am sure she will hate me for). I also hope it will involve cake and wine.

I've been looking for different ways to decorate my new house - as mentioned - oh about a million times. The moving day is getting closer and I will tell you more about that at a later date. However I am trying to get everything ready to go for the moving date and not sleeping until it all looks perfectly girlie. I thought using shoes as decoration would be quite a fun way to integrate my millions of pairs of shoes. Now I just need to get some new sparkly shoes that are worthy of being on show to the world.

Lavish Alice

I haven't worn a floral dress (from what I can remember) for the best part of a year. I have no idea why, as it is one of those timeless pieces that you can throw on and go. I absolutely love the print of this Lavish Alice dress and the colour is perfect for summer - if only the weather thought so. I can't wait until it is warm enough to wear without a cardi or blazer.

Boyfriend Blazer
