Lazy Days

Is it wrong that I got up today, only to have a shower and then put my PJs back on and go back to bed? Well that's what i've done and it's been awesome. I spent most of the weekend in London and I am absolutely shattered! Walking around Westfield Stratford on a Saturday is tiering work.

I got these Roxy boots from Spartoo a few weeks back now, and they are seriously the most comfiest shoes that I own. I would also like to add - the warmest!

Off to watch Shark Night and Abduction - enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Fancy Dress

It's been a super busy weekend, catching up with old friends. I ate far too much, but had lots of fun. One of the get togethers involved a fancy dress party - I as a rule hate fancy dress, so I stuck to the boring Alice in Wonderland costume, that I pull out the wardrobe each time I get invited to one.

Flat/house searching is a lot harder than I thought it would be. I'm seriously indecisive and making any sort of adult decision scares me! I've needed a new car for the last 2 years now and i'm still looking as I can't stick to one thing! Argh!

Also I watched Cowboys and Aliens last night. The title says it all - and I should have known better than to rent a movie with that name. I wouldn't suggest watching it.

These are the most amazing boots that I have ever seen!I would much prefer them in the black or the natural, but i'm not too fussed as long as they some how end up in my wardrobe in a size 3. I bought the Ambush boots a few months back and they haven't been off my feet since. They are completely battered, but I love them. These will be a much welcomed replacement.

I tried Nail Rock nail wraps on New Years Eve as I wanted a different look. This is the first time that I have tried nail wraps and although I liked them from a distance look - up close they didn't look that great. I have still yet to master the art of applying a nail wrap. Also, due to wearing Acrylic nails for almost a decade, I have been left with uneven nails. So not the best blank canvas to work with. I did however get a lot of compliments on my nails that evening, so I was happy. Next up on my list to test out is the metallic silver and the gold lace on white.

Do you have any tips on how to apply nail wraps?

Aussie More Diary: part one

For the whole of December , I took part in the AussieMore challenge, to see how long the new 500ml sized bottles would last. I only wash my hair every other day and in between I just use dry shampoo - so I do in-fact have about half a bottle left. It has also left my dry, bleached locks feeling soft and even - dare I say it - shiny. Here is part one of my AussieMore diary - part two will be uploaded tomorrow. Whilst looking through the Boots half price sale, I decided to have a look at the Collection 2000 range. I have been loving the brand lately and have found my fave bronzer and mascara from said brand. These glosses have also been put on my fave list. Not only are they amazingly priced, I nabbed them in a 3 for 1 deal. The pink one is the most amazingly vibrant pink colour I have found and is a daily must for me now. The other two colours are great when I want to mix it up a bit. The orange one looks a bit garish, but I have to say, it actually comes out an amazing shade. Today they also passed the wind and lip gloss test - not as annoying as normal lip glosses and definitely not as sticky! I 'm not too sure if it lasts the promised 6 hours as I am forever drinking diet coke and always reapplying.

2011 has probably been the hardest year of my life - or the hardest 6 months to be exact. Don't get me wrong it had it's good points and I had some amazing times, unfortunately it had some unbelievable lows. I think I could probably write a book about how much bad luck one person can have in a few short weeks. I can't wait to say goodbye to 2011 and hope that 2012 has something better in store for me as 2011 well and truly kicked my butt. Thank you so much for reading FashionChampagne. I have spent the last few days in un-blog worthy outfits. I have eaten so many cheese burgers, I am unsure if I can even fit into any of my clothes. Christmas Inspiration

This Christmas, like every year, will be spent at home with my Mum, Dad and my 2 sisters. I have to say that I look forward to Xmas dinner ALLLLLLLLL year, so I am incredibly excited that I will be eating it in just a few days. We all get assigned tasks to do on Christmas day, with regards to the dinner. Due to the fact that my skills in the kitchen are less that desirable and my massive hate for doing the dishes - I am tasked with making the pudding and setting the table (Sorry Soph looks like you might have the dishes).

Liz Earle: Cleanse & Polish

I have been using Liz Earle products for quite a while now. My Mum is in love with the brand and converted me at the age of 16. As a lovely teenager - I got the odd spot - nothing to write home about, but every product I tried just dried my skin out. That was until I tried the Liz Earle cleanse and polish. The product itself smells beyond amazing. I sometimes leave the cream on over night if my skin is playing up - It works! The muslin cloth is a genius idea and is the only thing that seems to shift my stubborn mascara after a night out. I also have Acne Rosacea, which used to make me so upset, but this product actually seems to keep the redness at bay and I rarely have a break out - unless I have been out in the sun for too long. I do have a mild case of Rosacea, so it may not work for those people who have extreme cases. I also swear by their normal/combination skin moisturiser, I find it really refreshing. Don't let the price put you off as I find a little goes a long way and these products and sooooo worth the investment! I have just realised I have in-fact been using the cleanse & polish for a decade! Wow i'm old!

I broke my spending ban for half an hour only - just enough time to get some bits and bobs from Boohoo. I have to say, I find myself heading to Boohoo more and more recently. I always avoided the online store as I heard bad comments about the quality of their clothing, but I haven't got a single bad thing to say about them. I love the prices and I am in love with their dresses. I cannot wait to get my hands on the hooded bear jumper. I have decided that this will be my Xmas day jumper. In a couple of weeks I have a Christmas jumper party to go to and I have been looking around for months, trying to find one that I actually won't mind wearing . This Reindeer jumper will be perfect! I'm sure you have all seen these guys around by now. OnePiece is the company that unleashed Onesies for adults onto a unsuspecting world. I have secretly been wishing for one. I'm excited to say that they are opening a store in Boxpark, Shoreditch and i'm hoping to get my hands on this pink and white onesie.

A bit of info about the brand - It all started back in 2007, with 3 hungiver Norwegians, who had the idea to sew together a hooded sweatshirt and a pair of sweatpants and added a giant zipper into the mix. It became an instant success amongst Scandinavians and the rest is history.

Kitchen Inspiration

Fingers crossed, in the new year, I will be buying myself a little flat to call my own. I am excited to say the least and a little bit scared about living by myself - but the perfect excuse to get myself a little doggy. So instead of browsing online at Topshop I have been drooling over Next home pages and been getting plenty of inspiration from Ikea. Maxi skirts have pretty much been my A/W staple. These 3 have been on rotation for quite a while now. (Seen here, here and here). I probably wear them a lot more than I am letting on, but why change something that works. The only issue is the wind! Walking can become quite tricky and I have lost countless fights with flights of stairs.

Sophisticated

Some very bad outfit pics, but these are all I managed to get. I wore this Boohoo dress out on Saturday night and it was far too cold to take any pictures outside. A longer hemline is the way forward (I decided this on Saturday), super sophisticated and the buckle detailing at the top makes the dress stand out. I also go this Bodycon dress - I will show you it next week - I am in love. In fact, I currently love Boohoo.

Boohoo Jumper

As you can tell from my last few outfit posts (seen here), I seem to be wearing this jumper. In fact even the days when I don't take outfit pics, I am wearing it. Apart from today - I have given up and added it to the weekend wash pile. What am I going to wear now? Decisions, decisions. Well I could buy this chunky knit jumper or this bear jumper.

Bullboxer

I came across these shoes at Spartoo last week whilst trying to make another shoe related decision. They are by a brand called Bullboxer - they have never been on my fashion radar before. Needless to say - I have wanted a pair of Jeffrey Campbell Lita's ever since they have been gracing the feet of every single fashion blogger. However I never managed to get my hands on a pair - but these would be the perfect solution! Next up - Will I be able to walk in them?

Winter Coat

The weather this weekend was sooooo cold, I spent all my mornings tucked up in bed. This coat (seen here) was the only reason I made it out the house on Sunday - it may have only been to get my weekly McDonalds, but it did the trick. t is safe to say that I have fallen in love with it. So so so warm - it's like walking around with a blanket. I have been looking for a warm coat for winter and I think I can now stop the search. I have spent most of my weekend window shopping to try and get some Xmas present inspiration. I had no luck whatsoever and have decided everything will be bought online this year. The shops are already far to busy for my liking.

Thursday Inspiration

It's not often that an outfit takes my breath away, but after seeing Company Editor - Victoria, wearing this in her editor's letter this month, I knew I had to have it all. The blouse is from ASOS, but it is no longer available (find similar here). The faux leather skirt is from Oasis - word on the street - there is currently 20% off at Oasis this week. That skirt will be mine!

Burgundy Skirt

The weather this weekend was lovely - for November that is. I decided to dress weather appropriate and wear my A/W staple - the maxi skirt. Despite the fact that the wind blew my skirt everywhere, causing me to trip on a number of occasions, I will be wearing this throughout the up and coming months. I seem to be attracted to this burgundy colour at the moment and my wardrobe seems to be getting quite the burgundy collection (seen here and here).

Kapello Hair

Regular readers - would have noticed by now that I wear hair extentions. I get bored pretty easily so once my hair is long - I get it chopped off - love it for a week - then regret it for years. Thankfully there are so many different options for girls like me. I have had weave, glue in's and clip in's you name it, i've tried it. Recently I have been testing out a newly discovered brand called KapelloHair. I have to say I have been pleasantly surprised. The hair itself is in amazing condition. The clips are much bigger than what I am used to - and in my opinion, make the extentions a whole lot sturdier. Unfortunately due to a lack of a camera - I can't show you them. I opted for the light blonde shade and also went a bit longer with the 20 inch option.

Pure Collection

As the nights get longer and the days get colder, I always find myself looking for options to keep warm and cosy. Mostly I just layer up, or, I am ashamed to admit - just throw on a sweater. This year I have been investing in some cashmere pieces - I just need to learn how to wash them - I seem to be ever so good at shrinking them. The best part about cashmere - I can also wear it to work - the worst part - I have to go to work - ha! Currently I have my eye on this Cashmere Ruffle Edge Cardigan in red. I like to colour code in December.

Review: Rimmel

Im always a stickler when it comes to make up. I find a brand and I stick to it. The only time that I even think about changing brands is with mascara. Recently I have been getting bored with my make up and I have been feeling like it doesn't really do it's job anymore. Foundations are completely new to me as i'm more of a powder girl and I stay away from lippy as I have such such small lips. So I was excited to give some new products from Rimmel london a chance at making it into my make up bag.

First up we have the Kate Moss Lasting Finish lippy. The smell was the first thing that got my attention - I can't quite put my finger on it, but it was delish! The colour glided on perfectly and lasted a whole night out with the girls. Just what you need as applying lippy after a few cocktails can become quite troublesome.

Next up - We have the Lasting Finish 25 hour foundation. the application is extremely easy - I used my fingers, as my sponges and brushes always seem to go walk abouts. The smell again is amazing and the coverage is exactly what I need to go from day to night. Maybe it should be re-named the busy girls magic trick! Maybe someone could come up with a better name than that. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard!

I'm sure that you are already aware that Gok Wan has teamed up with TU to launch a capsule collection that will be sold exclusively at Sainsburys. The collection, which coincidently launches today will consist of 13 styles, totalling 28 garments.

The collection reflects Gok's philosophy of making women feel confident, stylish and positive about their bodies, whatever their budget, size or shape. The collection combines key basics with strong statement pieces - all designed with shape enhancing properties.

Gok stated that: "With these clothes, I want women to flirt, flaunt and celebrate their curves"

Prices start at a bargain £20 and finish at an affordable £45.

The colour palette reflects the autumn season; rich red, teal and terracotta are mixed with statement black. Two signature prints - cherry blossom an oriental floral decorate garments inside and out.

These are my fave pieces, especially that kimono in the last picture. If I find that in my local sainsburys on my lunch break, I shall be snapping that up.

Also the dress above is very Holly Willoughby - I think I will be purchasing that for the looming Christmas party season.
